Teaching
Anchor 1
My student-centered teaching ethos is rooted in my lived experiences as a working-class, heritage language speaker.
Since 2008, I have taught at multiple public and private higher ed institutions in New York, each with its own unique cultural flavor. In these settings, I have taught first-year writing, professional writing, and global literature to linguistically diverse, and often, working-class students.
My teaching focuses on critical digital literacy as a path for interrogating the myth of linguistic homogeneity, genres and their conventions, and other cultural commonplaces.
